Pelumba muda, Ady Rahimy Rashid, tidak menyangka percubaan keduanya menyertai Kejohanan Siri Perlumbaan Malaysia Super Series (MCS) membuahkan hasil cukup memberangsangkan apabila muncul juara kategori sports production two.
Siri perlumbaan MCS 2019 membuka saingan di Litar Antarabangsa Sepang (SIC) hari ini dengan membabitkan empat kategori utama, iaitu touring car, touring production, sports production one dan sports production two.
Kejayaan pelumba muda, Ady Rahimy, yang baru berusia 20 tahun cukup membanggakan.
Dia yang hanya bermula dengan perlumbaan e-sukan, kini puas dapat merealisasikan impiannya untuk beraksi di SIC dan muncul juar meskipun masih kekurangan pengalaman berbanding 12 pelumba senior yang lain.
"Latihan menggunakan simulator banyak membantu pemanduan saya hari ini.
"Saya akan belajar dan menimba pengalaman dalam setiap perlumbaan, Insya-Allah prestasi saya akan bertambah," katanya.
Sementara itu, pelumba tunggal wanita kategori Malaysian touring car, Leona Chin, berbangga dapat menafikan cabaran tujuh pelumba lelaki dalam perlumbaan yang cukup menguji kekuatan mental dan fizikal seseorang pelumba itu.
"Saya dapat membuktikan wanita juga boleh memandu sepantas lelaki, malah lebih laju," kata Leona.
