Pemain perseorangan muda negara, Lee Zii Jia, ingin memanfaatkan tempoh singkat yang dimiliki untuk menimba ilmu daripada jurulatihnya, Wong Tat Meng.
Zii Jia merupakan sebahagian daripada pemain muda negara yang kini dikendalikan oleh Tat Meng bermula semalam.
Tat Meng dipindahkan ke bahagian perseorangan lelaki selepas terbabit dengan bahagian wanita sebelum ini.
Namun, keputusan Tat Meng berhijrah ke Scotland Januari nanti, menyaksikan dia hanya mempunyai tempoh sebulan untuk melatih Zii Jia.
"Saya baru sehari berlatih bersamanya, jadi saya memerlukan lebih banyak masa untuk berlatih dengannya.
"Dia akan membimbing saya untuk ke Terbuka India, saya berharap mampu mendapatkan keputusan yang lebih baik dalam perlawanan itu nanti," katanya.
Tumpuan Zii Jia selepas ini ialah saingan Terbuka India yang akan berlangsung minggu hadapan.
Berdasarkan persembahan cemerlang yang dipamerkan dalam Kejohanan Remaja Dunia baru-baru ini, dia yakin mampu untuk terus kekal konsisten.
"Sebenarnya, saya amat gembira dengan prestasi saya dalam Kejohanan Remaja Dunia, Sepanyol yang lalu.
"Saya berharap untuk terus bekerja keras dan lebih kerap beraksi di pentas senior.
"Sasaran saya ialah untuk berada di kelompok 50 pemain terbaik dunia dua tahun dari sekarang."
