Perseorangan lelaki utama negara, Lee Zii Jia, tetap berwaspada dengan cabaran yang akan disajikan England menjelang perlawanan pertama Kumpulan D, Piala Thomas di Impact Arena, Bangkok pagi esok.
Zii Jia berkemungkinan besar akan diturunkan sebagai perseorangan pertama negara dan dijangka akan berdepan pemain senior England, Toby Penty.
Biarpun dibezakan 47 anak tangga dalam ranking dunia Persekutuan Badminton Dunia (BWF), Zii Jia enggan mengambil mudah lawan itu sebaliknya bersedia menunjukkan aksi terbaiknya dalam memastikan mata pertama skuad negara.
Dalam satu temu bual bersama wartawan Nadi Arena, Muiz Aziz, dia berkata: "Mungkin saya akan diturunkan sebagai perseorangan pertama dan berkemungkinan besar akan bertemu Toby Penty.
"Ia akan menjadi perlawanan yang agak sukar juga untuk bertemu dengannya.
"Saya rasa dia pemain yang agak baik juga di Eropah. Saya pernah bertemu dengannya dan bukan senang untuk menewaskannya.
"Daripada segi keamatan, mungkin lebih sukar dalam perlawanan pertama kerana kami belum selesa dengan gelanggang," katanya.
