Penstrukturan latihan lanjutan intensif luar negara Kem Badminton Astro di bawah Pengarah Kejurulatihan Badminton Jawatankuasa Olimpik Jepun (JOC), Norio Imai, lebih menitikberatkan kepada disiplin dan pembinaan karektor sebagai seorang atlet.
"Latihan di Malaysia sangat baik.
"Kami belajar pelbagai jenis latihan kecergasan yang sesuai dengan pemain muda kami.
"Latihan di Jepun lebih menumpukan kepada teknik asas serta pergerakan untuk memperbaiki mental peserta," ujar Imai.
Kem Badminton Astro merupakan sebahagian daripada inisiatif pembangunan sukan yang menerapkan asas permainan dari peringkat akar umbi melalui latihan yang berbeza.
Dengan itu, peserta dapat menanam semangat juang tinggi bagi mempersiapkan diri sebagai seorang pemain badminton yang bakal mengharumkan nama negara satu hari nanti.
