Selepas tewas kepada ATM Guardians semalam, Johor Tigris kembali mempamer aksi meyakinkan dalam saingan Liga Sepak Takraw (STL) 2019 apabila merakamkan kemenangan ke atas Sabah Mountaineers hari ini bagi memberikan tekanan ke atas pendahulu, Penang Black Panthers.
Selepas kecundang 2-0 di Gem In Mall, Cyberjaya semalam, jurulatih Tigris, Ahmad Jais Baharom, melakukan sedikit pertukaran dengan merehatkan perejam, Noraizat Nordin, dengan memasukan Ashraf Azizan sementara kapten pasukan, Muklis Borhan kekal bersama tekong, Farid Aziz.
Tigris mendominasi set pertama dengan beberapa servis berkualiti daripada Farid memerangkap Zulhelmi Zakaria, Daut Amba dan Jaxon Amputong sebelum meraih kemenangan 21-11.
Mountaineers mempamerkan kebangkitan apabila meraih mata menerusi rejaman menarik Jaxon, namun gagal untuk menghalang Tigris meraih kemenangan 21-15 dalam set kedua, sekali gus merakamkan kemenangan kelapan musim ini.
