Pendahulu liga, Penang Black Panthers, tumpas 1-2 di tangan ATM Guardians dalam Liga Sepak Takraw (STL) di Gem In Mall, Cyberjaya sebentar tadi.
Turun selaku juara bertahan dan pendahulu, Black Panthers yang dibarisi Said Ezwan Said De (tekong), Zaim Razali (pengumpan) dan Azlan Alias (perejam), bermula baik apabila menguasai set pertama sebelum memenanginya 21-12.
