Kesatuan Bola Sepak Eropah (UEFA) menghukum Fenerbahce dengan penutupan sebahagian daripada stadium selepas peminat melaungkan nama Presiden Russia, Vladimir Putin, ketika perlawanan kelayakan Liga Juara-Juara (UCL) menentang kelab Ukraine, Dynamo Kyiv.
Russia menceroboh Ukraine sejak Februari lalu dan peperangan telah menyebabkan beribu-ribu kematian sementara berjuta-juta kehilangan tempat tinggal.
Laungan itu bermula selepas Oleksandr Karavayev menjaringkan gol kemenangan buat pasukan Ukraine berkenaan dalam perlawanan kedua di Istanbul untuk menang dengan agregat 2-1, minggu lalu.
Ia mendorong pengurus Dynamo, Mircea Lucescu, memboikot sidang akhbar selepas perlawanan hingga UEFA bertindak menghukum tingkah laku peminat Fenerbahce.
Kelab itu turut didenda €50,000 (RM226,720) selain penutupan sekurang-kurangnya 5,000 tempat duduk untuk kempen Eropah di tempat sendiri yang seterusnya yang berpunca daripada kesalahan yang ditakrifkan sebagai "melempar objek dan menghantar mesej provokatif yang bersifat menyinggung perasaan, iaitu nyanyian terlarang."
