Penyerang Atletico Madrid, Antoine Griezmann, berkata dia sangat menghormati bintang Real Madrid dan Portugal, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo telah mendedahkan bahawa Griezmann memberitahunya "saya benci kamu" ketika bertemu di Miami selepas tamat Kejohanan Eropah.
Tetapi penyerang Perancis itu telah menjelaskan bahawa dia hanya berjenaka dan berkata hubungannya dengan Ronaldo sangat baik.
"Sebelum ini, Ronaldo merupakan jiran saya dan dia akan selalu melintasi rumah saya. Kami sering menyapa satu sama lain. Tetapi saya telah berpindah tahun lalu," jelas Griezmann kepada L'Equipe.
"Tetapi kami telah bertemu musim panas lalu di Miami. Saya sedang bercuti bersama teman wanita saya dan kami bertemu Ronaldo di sebuah restoran.
"Saya bertemu dengannya dan mengucapkan tahniah di atas kejayaannya membantu Portugal memenangi Euro 2016 dan Liga Juara-Juara (UCL) bersama Real.
"Saya mengusiknya dengan menyatakan "saya benci awak", kerana saya masih kecewa dengan kekalahan dalam final Euro 2016.
"Tetapi saya tidak membencinya kerana dia telah menewaskan saya dalam dua kejohanan utama dan menjaringkan hatrik minggu lalu. Saya sangat menghormati Ronaldo."
