LA Galaxy menandatangani pemain tengah Barcelona, Riqui Puig, dengan kontrak selama tiga setengah tahun.
Galaxy menggunakan Wang Peruntukan Sasaran untuk membawa pemain berusia 22 tahun itu ke Liga Bolasepak Utama (MLS) selepas dianggap lebihan dalam barisan kendalian Xavi.
Gergasi LaLiga itu mempunyai hak untuk menandatangani semula Puig selain berhak menikmati 50 peratus hasil perpindahan melibatkannya sekiranya dilepaskan Los Angeles.
Puig menyertai kelab Catalan itu dari Jabac Terrassa sebagai pemain B-16 pada 2013 sebelum membuat 57 penampilan senior dengan meledak dua gol.
"Kami berbesar hati mengalu-alukan Riqui ke LA Galaxy," kata ketua jurulatih Galaxy, Greg Vanney.
"Riqui merupakan seorang pemain yang sangat teknikal dan berpendidikan tinggi dengan pengalaman luar biasa di sebalik usianya. Dia akan pantas menyesuaikan diri dengan pasukan dan gaya permainan kami."
Pengarah Teknikal Galaxy, Jovan Kirovski, berkata: "Riqui adalah seorang pemain yang sangat berbakat dengan profil unik yang menawarkan sesuatu yang berbeza kepada skuad kami."
Puig memenangi gelaran LaLiga bersama Barca tiga tahun lalu dan menjulang Copa del Rey pada 2021.
