Bekas pengendali skuad negara, Datuk K. Rajagobal, sah dilantik sebagai ketua jurulatih skuad kebangsaan Brunei, demikian didedahkan wartawan Nadi Arena, Fina Nasrom, dalam ciapan Twitter terbarunya sebentar tadi.
Pengendali berusia 64 tahun itu membimbing skuad negara menjuarai Piala Suzuki AFF pada 2010 selepas membawa skuad B-23 negara meraih pingat emas dalam Sukan SEA Laos 2009.
Terdahulu, Nadi Arena pada 16 November lalu melaporkan bekas ketua jurulatih PKNS FC itu merupakan pendahulu daripada tiga calon yang disenarai pendek Persatuan Bolasepak Brunei (NFABD) untuk mengisi kekosongan jawatan berkenaan.
"Pada awalnya ada perunding daripada FA Brunei berjumpa saya pada Ogos lalu untuk bertanyakan sama ada saya berminat menjadi ketua jurulatih pasukan Brunei atau tidak.
"Saya katakan yang kami boleh berbincang dan perbincangan itu berpanjangan," katanya seperti dipetik daripada laporan berkenaan.
"Baru-baru ini, pihak pengurusan Brunei FA telah melakukan temu duga dalam talian untuk melihat calon yang sesuai.
"Mereka bertanyakan soalan mengenai pendapat kami berkenaan pemain dan latar belakang pasukan Brunei.
"Apa yang saya dengar, mereka akan membuat keputusan pada bulan ini dan akan melihat siapa yang akan dipilih menjadi jurulatih pasukan itu," katanya lagi.
