Selepas tular khabar angin mengenai ketua jurulatih, Marko Kraljevic, meninggalkan The Red Warriors (TRW), bekas kapten, Mohd Badhri Radzi atau Piya, mengesahkan sudah menghantar surat permohonan kepada Persatuan Bolasepak Kelantan (KAFA) untuk dilepaskan, petang tadi.
Piya, yang menyertai kembali TRW 16 Mac lalu, berkata keputusan untuk menarik diri daripada Kelantan itu dibuat selepas meneliti perkembangan terkini yang menghantui skuad Pantai Timur berkenaan, terutama kegagalan kerjasama di antara KAFA dan Kelantan Red Warriors (KRW) Sdn Bhd.
"Semuanya sudah menjadi bubur. Saya menerima tawaran daripada Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif (CEO) KRW, Fazli Mohammad dan Orrisa Baharom, untuk kembali membantu Kelantan mengharungi Liga Malaysia musim ini.
"Malangnya, apabila konflik melanda hubungan KRW dan KAFA, semua yang dirancang tidak berjalan dengan sempurna.
"Sebelum apa-apa berlaku, lebih baik saya mengambil keputusan untuk mengundurkan diri dengan menghantar surat rasmi kepada KAFA," katanya.
Piya, yang pernah memenangi Anugerah Pemain Paling Bernilai (MVP), Anugerah Bola Sepak Kebangsaan (ABK) pada 2013, memohon maaf kepada semua penyokong TRW di atas tindakannya itu.
Terdahulu, Presiden KAFA, Bibi Ramjani Ilias Khan, berkata badan induk itu akan meneliti semula mana-mana kontrak pemain yang gaji mereka dibayar oleh KRW Sdn Bhd -- dengan jaminan kerjasama My Inspiration Sdn. Bhd -- baru-baru ini.
Antara individu yang dibawa masuk menerusi jalinan kerjasama itu ialah Kraljevic, Raul Tarragona, Piya dan beberapa pemain lain.
