Didier Deschamps mengesahkan bahawa Kylian Mbappe akan kembali memperkuatkan Perancis ketika menghadapi Afrika Selatan dalam aksi persahabatan di Lille awal pegi esok.
Mbappe terlepas kemenangan 2-1 Les Bleus ka atas Ivory Coast kelmarin sebagai langkah pencegahan masalah jangkitan ENT (tekak, hidung dan telinga), di mana gol daripada Aurelien Tchouameni memastikan mereka menang dalam aksi persahabatan itu.
Bagaimanapun, tanpa memaklumkan sama ada ia dalam kesebelasan permulaan atau sebagai pemain gantian, Deschamp mengesahkan bahawa bintang Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) itu akan kembali merebut tempat bagi perlawanan yang akan datang.
Ketika ditanya mengenai Mbappe, Deschamps berkata kepada Telefoot: "Dia semakin baik, dia akan berada di sana Selasa ini (awal pagi esok)."
Pemain berusia 23 tahun itu telah menjaringkan 24 gol daripada 53 penampilan antarabangsa tetapi bakal diberikan saingan oleh Christopher Nkunku, yang melakukan penampilan pertamanya bersama Perancis di Marseille kelmarin.
Penyerang RB Leipzig itu mencipta sensasi dalam Bundesliga musim ini, di mana dia menjaringkan 26 gol daripada 39 penampilan dalam kesemua kejohanan.
"Ia merupakan momen yang luar biasa," kata Nkunku kepada wartawan.
"Ia satu perlawanan yang komited berdepan pasukan dengan kemahiran fizikal dan teknikal.
"Saya kini pemain kebangsaan Perancis dan berharap dapat mengekalkannya untuk selama mungkin," katanya.
