Ilkay Gundogan percaya Manchester City mesti terus memecut laju di puncak Liga Perdana jika mereka mahu menafikan gelaran kepada Liverpool.
Satu lagi perlumbaan luar biasa untuk merebut piala sedang berlangsung di England antara gergasi barat laut itu, dengan City kendalian Pep Guardiola kini enam mata di depan Liverpool kendalian Jurgen Klopp, yang mempunyai satu perlawanan dalam tangan.
Perjalanan Liverpool ke City 10 April ini menjadi aksi penting dalam menentukan nasib trofi, dan pada masa City beraksi seterusnya, di Crystal Palace Isnin ini, pendahuluan mereka mungkin turun kepada tiga mata.
Itu kerana Liverpool bermain di hadapan mereka, menentang Brighton and Hove Albion di Stadium Amex esok.
Gundogan berkata: "Tiada peluang untuk melakukan kesilapan untuk kedua-dua pasukan. Kami mempunyai pertembungan di Etihad dalam beberapa minggu.
"Kedua-dua pasukan mampu memenangi semua baki perlawanan seperti yang kami berdua menunjukkan beberapa tahun lalu. Ia akan menjadi perlumbaan yang sengit sehingga ke penghujung, ini adalah apa yang kami percaya."
Gundogan merujuk kepada musim Liga Perdana 2018-19 apabila dia merenung musim apabila kedua-dua City dan Liverpool mengintai satu sama lain ke garisan penamat.
City muncul juara apabila dengan 98 mata berbanding 97 mata The Reds, sebelum Liverpool mencatatkan kejayaan dengan berkelebihan 18 mata dalam kempen berikutnya.
