Pep Guardiola berharap untuk menyenaraikan semula Yaya Toure dalam skuad Liga Juara-Juara (UCL) Manchester City dalam fasa kejohanan yang berikutnya.
City masih belum menempah tiket ke pusingan seterusnya dan bakal berdepan tugas getir bertemu Borussia Monchengladbach pada Rabu tanpa kelibat Toure yang tidak boleh beraksi dalam kejohanan tersebut.
Bagaimanapun, selepas pemain tengah itu meledak dua gol dalam penampilan pertamanya dalam Liga Perdana Inggeris bertemu Crystal Palace pada Sabtu, Guardiola memberi bayangan Toure berkemungkinan akan disenarai dalam skuad City untuk aksi pusingan kalah mati.
"Jika kami layak ke pusingan seterunya, saya akan bertemu dengan staf saya dan membuat keputusan untuk memilih pemain terbaik yang mampu membantu pasukan memenangi perlawanan Liga Juara-Juara."
Guardiola menegaskan beliau tidak menyesal mengetepikan Toure tetapi menerima kritikan secara terbuka bahawa keputusan yang diambilnya tidak selalunya tepat.
"Saya ditugaskan untuk membuat keputusan, mungkin saya telah melakukan kesilapan, tetapi saya perlu melakukannya dan saya menyedari bahawa bukan semua pihak bersetuju dengan saya.
