Bekas pengurus Norwich City, Daniel Farke, meletakkan jawatannya sebagai pengurus kelab Russia, Krasnodar, sebelum sempat mengemudi perlawanan pertamanya sebagai tindak balas kepada pencerobohan negara majikannya itu ke atas Ukraine.
Farke, yang dipecat oleh Norwich pada November 2021 selepas tiga tahun di kelab itu, menyertai Krasnodar pada Januari lalu dengan kontrak hingga 2024.
Tetapi tindakan Presiden Russia, Vladimir Putin, memulakan pencerobohan besar-besaran ke atas negara jiran itu sejak Khamis lalu, mengundang kecaman antarabangsa.
Pencerobahan itu menyebabkan pasukan Russia -- baik di peringkat kelab mahupun kebangsaan -- dilarang daripada bersaing dalam kejohanan di bawah Persatuan Bola Sepak Eropah (UEFA) dan Persekutuan Bola Sepak Antarabangsa (FIFA) termasuk Piala Dunia.
Markus Gisdol turut meletakkan jawatannya di Lokomotiv Moscow awal minggu ini sambil mengesahkan kepada BILD bahawa dia berasa tidak dapat bekerja di sebuah negara di mana pemimpinnya bertindak menyerang negara Eropah yang lain.
Dia menambah: "Ia tidak sesuai dengan prinsip saya, oleh itu saya meletakkan jawatan sebagai pengurus Lokomotiv Moscow dengan serta-merta.
“Saya tidak boleh berdiri di padang latihan di Moscow dan melatih pemain sambil minta mereka bersikap profesional sedangkan dalam lingkungan beberapa kilometer, ada arahan yang membawa penderitaan kepada rakyat di seluruh negara.
"Ini adalah keputusan peribadi saya dan saya benar-benar yakin ia adalah satu keputusan yang betul."
