Jurulatih Argentina, Edgardo Bauza, menjelaskan keputusannya untuk tidak menyenaraikan Sergio Aguero di dalam kesebelasan utama untuk perlawanan menentang Brazil.
Bauza telah menamakan empat penyerang, iaitu Lionel Messi, Gonzalo Higuain, Angel Di Maria dan Enzo Perez, untuk kelayakan Piala Dunia malam ini.
Jurulatih berusia 58 tahun itu berkata keputusannya untuk memasukkan Perez adalah untuk memberikan persaingan kepada lawan yang bakal mereka temui di Belo Horizonte.
"Saya memilih Di Maria dan Perez kerana saya percaya mereka dapat bersaing dari segi kekuatan fizikal," kata Bauza dalam sidang akhbar.
"Perez bermain posisi tersebut selama dua tahun kerana ia merupakan posisi asalnya.
"Selebihnya, kami berfikir untuk memberikan saingan."
Bauza mendapat semula khidmat Messi selepas bintang Barcelona itu terlepas tiga perlawanan kelayakan -- kesemuanya Argentina tewas.
Keputusan itu menyaksikan skuad bimbingan Bauza jatuh ke tangga keenam dalam kedudukan pasukan tetapi dia gembira melihat Messi kembali cergas untuk beraksi.
"Messi tiba dengan baik, tanpa masalah," katanya.
Selepas pertemuan dengan Brazil, Argentina menjadi tuan rumah kepada Colombia, Selasa depan.
