Ketua jurulatih skuad memanah negara, Lee Jae Hyung, dilaporkan tidak akan bersama barisan atletnya ke Sukan SEA Hanoi bulan depan.
Ia merupakan kali pertama Jae Hyung tidak mengiringi atletnya ke temasya itu sejak 1999.
Bagi pemanah negara, Zarif Syahir Zolkepli, ketiadaan jurulatih dari Korea Selatan itu sudah pasti memberikan kesan terhadap misinya dalam memburu pingat emas.
"Ada kesan jugalah untuk saya kerana adakalanya, ketika saya hilang arah, dia akan datang kepada saya untuk memberikan semangat," katanya kepada Astro Arena.
"Walaupun sekarang saya berlatih dengan jurulatih lain, jurulatih Lee lebih tegas.
"Pada mulanya, ketika kami tahu perkara itu, ada sedikit rasa sedih kerana sebelum ini, skuad recurve lelaki sentiasa bersama jurulatih Lee untuk ke mana-mana kejohanan.
"Tetapi apabila jurulatih Lee sudah dinaikkan pangkat, kami berasa seperti kehilangan seseorang.
"Walaupun dia hanya sebagai jurulatih, dia sentiasa membimbing kami," katanya.
