The ATM Guardians made it seven wins out of seven in the 2018 Sepak Takraw League (STL) Premier season with yet another 2-0 win on Sunday.

The league leaders, who were level on points with the Kuala Lumpur Thunder before Sunday's action, beat the Kelantan Warriors 21-18, 21-10 to maintain their perfect start to the new season.

They did not have it easy, though, as they were down 3-10 at one point in the first set before tekong Hairul Hazizi and striker Khairudin Adenan rallied their team back into the game to secure the victory.

With the win, they moved two points clear at the top ahead of Friday's crunch match against the Thunder.

Defending champions Penang Black Panthers, who had played one more match that the Guardians had, kept their title rivals in their sight by defeating the Selangor Pistons 2-0.

The islanders, who started Syahir Rosdi from the bench on Saturday, opted to let their tekong star play the entire match, a decision that paid dividends as his services constantly troubled the Selangor trio of Farhan Adam, Yusyairil Amir Yusoff and Shafirul Nizam Zainal.

Coupled with Azlan Alias' accurate spikes, the Black Panthers won 21-15, 21-18.

Meanwhile, it was back to square one for the Terengganu Turtles after they failed to build on Saturday's win against the Melaka Titans and crashed to a 0-2 loss to the PDRM Defenders.

PDRM striker Hafiz Izudin Wahab was in a no-nonsense mood, winning 19 points and committing just three errors, to help his side beat the Turtles 21-18, 21-15.

If Hafiz's performance was great, Fadzil Mustapa's display in the Perak Bison's 2-0 win over Melaka was even more impressive.

The 24-year-old striker put on a spiking clinic by winning 14 and 13 points in respective sets to hand the Titans their fifth straight defeat this season.
