George Ford will start on the bench for England against Ireland in the Autumn Nations Cup on Saturday.

The fly-half returns to the squad after overcoming an Achilles problem, although captain Owen Farrell will keep the number 10 shirt against Andy Farrell's men.

Tom Curry and Sam Underhill come into the side as flankers, with props Mako Vunipola and Kyle Sinckler also returning to the XV.

The backline is unchanged from the opening 40-0 victory over Georgia, allowing Ollie Lawrence to make his second international start at outside centre.

"I've picked the strongest team possible for the most important game of our season," said head coach Eddie Jones.

"We have the highest respect for the Ireland and their coach Andy Farrell. They've had good preparation with two wins and a dominant display against Wales, and we will need to be at our best on Saturday.

"We've trained well this week, we're expecting a tough, physical game against Ireland and we've reflected that in our sessions.

"We'll look to lift our performance even higher and are looking forward to a really good game of rugby."
