On Friday, 31 July, ONE Championship returned to martial arts action with ONE: NO SURRENDER live from Bangkok, Thailand.
Leading up to the event, there was much hype surrounding the promotion’s first show in five months – and all six bouts on the card delivered.
In the main event of the evening, ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon defended his belt against longtime rival Petchdam “The Baby Shark” Petchyindee Academy.
For five rounds, the Jitmuangnon representative stalked Petchdam down and punished him with wild hooks and looping overhands. When “The Baby Shark” tried to attack, he was only met with more of Rodtang’s power.
The judges gave the majority decision to the defending World Champion, who kept his rightful spot as the division’s king.
In the co-main event, ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Petchmorakot Petchyindee Academy defended his strap against hungry veteran “The Boxing Computer” Yodsanklai IWE Fairtex.
Although Yodsanklai didn’t make the match an easy one, Petchmorakot used his long reach to trouble the living legend over the course of five rounds.
The judges scored the bout a majority decision for the Petchyindee representative, who defended his gold for the first time.
