Malaysia head coach Nelo Vingada has finalised his 23-man squad on Monday for the two upcoming 2019 AFC Asian Cup qualifying matches against North Korea.

Junior Eldstal has been dropped from the Portuguese's preliminary selection, while Ahmad Khairil Anuar Zamri and Hadin Azman have been called up to replace Darren Lok and Baddrol Bakhtiar, who are reportedly injured.

Despite the absence of Eldstal and Lok, the Harimau Malaya squad is still largely dominated by Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) stars with 10 players, followed by Perak with five.

Malaysia, who are currently at the bottom of Group B with just one point from three games, will face North Korea at the Buriram Stadium in Thailand on November 10 and 13.

As they are trailing second-place Hong Kong by four points with one game in hand, Vingada's team must win both matches to keep their hopes of Asian Cup qualification alive.
