Sime Darby and UKM will be playing Malaysian Premier League football next season after defeating Felcra and Shahzan Muda respectively on Sunday.
After the first leg of both 2017 FAM League promotion play-off semi-finals finished 0-0, one goal was enough for each of them to secure their promotion.
Zul Fahmi Awang struck for Sime Darby in the 40th minute at the Petaling Jaya Stadium to wrap up a swift return to the Premier League after they were relegated last season.
Meanwhile, at the UKM Bangi Stadium, Faidzol Fazreen Shamsudin settled the other tie with a 110th-minute goal to help his team become the third university team to play in the second division after UiTM and the now-defunct USM.
The two teams will now face off in a two-legged final on October 15 and 22 to determine the 2017 FAM League champions.
