Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks dominated the Los Angeles Clippers in a record-breaking first half on Sunday.

The Mavs had lost their opening two games of the new NBA season, while the Clippers won both of theirs, beating champions the Los Angeles Lakers in their season opener.

However, the tables turned in quite dramatic fashion at Staples Center.

The Clippers were without Kawhi Leonard, who sustained a blow to his face in the victory over the Denver Nuggets, and subsequently fell to pieces.

They trailed 77-27 at half-time, their 50-point deficit the largest through two quarters since the shot-clock era began in 1954-55, according to ESPN.

Doncic alone had 18 points, seven rebounds and four assists for Dallas. His first-quarter total of 13 matched the Clippers single-handedly.
