Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik are one match away from their biggest career title after a dominant performance to blow away Satwiksairaj Rankireddy-Chirag Shetty 21-18, 21-18 in the Toyota Thailand Open men's doubles semi-finals on Saturday.

The world number nine pair have been in imperious form in the Super 1000 event, and now need another big performance to beat Lee Yang-Wang Chi-lin in Sunday's final.

The Chinese Taipei pair, who beat Goh V Shem-Tan Wee Kiong to win last week's Thailand Open, were again superb in ousting three-time world champions Mohammad Ahsan-Hendra Setiawan 14-21, 22-20, 21-12.

If Chia-Soh are as sharp as they were against Satwiksairaj-Chirag and take the initiative against their in-form opponents, they could finally break the duck for a major title.

Chia said the pair had a clear gameplan against the Indians: "Our plan was clear and we knew what we had to do. We've gained back some confidence since 2019 and we're looking forward to the final."

Ever since reaching the All-England final in 2019, the pair had not made any major breakthrough and would be hoping that changes on Sunday.

They are Malaysia's only representative in the final as Lee Meng Yen-Chow Mei Kuan and Hoo Pang Ron- Cheah Yee See both faltered in the semis.

Lee-Chow could not match the intensity of their South Korean opponents Kim So-yeong-Kong Hee-yong and lost 17-21, 6-21 in the women's doubles.

In the mixed doubles, Hoo-Cheah were a bundle of nerves in the first game and came up short in the second to succumb 9-21,16-21 to another South Korean duo in Seo Seung-jae-Chae Yujung.

The women's singles saw Spaniard Carolona Marin beat An Se-young 21-19, 21-15 for the second week in the semis to set-up a final showdown against either Tai Tzu-ying or Ratchanok Intanon.

Hans-Kristian Vittinghus, who made his first major final in five years with a convicing 21-19, 21-8 victory over teammate Anders Antonsen, would face the winner of Chou Tien-chen/Viktor Axelsen in the men's singles final.
