West Indies all-rounder Fabian Allen has been ruled out of the T20 World Cup due to an ankle injury.

The 26-year-old has been replaced by Akeal Hosein in the Windies' 15-man squad just three days before they start the defence of their title against England at the Dubai International Stadium.

Gudakesh Moti joins Darren Bravo, Sheldon Cottrell and Jason Holder on the holders' list of reserves.

The loss of Allen is a blow for the Windies as they look to win the tournament for a third time.

Left-arm spinner Allen is ranked 16th in the world ICC T20I bowling rankings and rated as is 17th in the lisit of the best all-rounders in the world in the shortest format.

Hosein is set to feature when West Indies take on Afghanistan in a warm-up match on Wednesday.
