Penerjun negara, Datuk Pandelela Rinong, menganggap rezeki tidak memihaknya dalam acara 10 meter platform individu selepas menamatkan saingan di kedudukan ke-11 Sukan Komanwel Birmingham secara keseluruhan.
Pandelela yang mengumpul 260.90 mata, meraih 63.00 mata di terjunan pertama, sebelum memperbaiki terjunan keduanya dengan kutipan mata 66.70 mata.
Segalanya seperti tidak menjadi buat pemenang pingat emas edisi 2010 itu, apabila dia kian ketinggalan terutamanya kepada wakil tuan rumah yang juga pemenang pingat emas, Andrea Spendolini Sirieix.
Kesakitan yang dialami terutamanya di bahagian pinggang sedikit sebanyak mengganggu rentak atlet kelahiran Sarawak itu.
Tumpuan Pandelela kini terarah kepada persiapan seterusnya bersama Nur Dhabitah Sabri dalam acara 10m platform seirama yang dijadualkan berlangsung esok.
"Keletihan agak menjejaskan persiapan ke final dan berharap untuk meningkatkan lagi persembahan dalam acara seterusnya," kata Pandelela.
"Saya mahu memperbaiki dalam acara berikutnya."
