Penunggang jentera Yamaha, Quartararo, berjaya mengetepikan pencabar terdekat, Fabio Bagnaia, dengan perbezaan tiga mata dengan berbaki dua perlumbaan.
Pelumba berusia 22 tahun itu memulakan saingan dengan kurang cemerlang apabila dipintasi dua kali hingga jatuh ke tempat kelima, dengan berbaki lima pusingan di Itali.
Kemudian hadir saat yang ditunggu-tunggu apabila Bagnaia, yang berada di landasan untuk meraih kemenangan ketiga daripada empat perlumbaan, terjatuh sekaligus memberikan gelaran kepada Quartararo dan yang pertama buat Yamaha sejak 2015.
