Pemain beregu campuran negara, Chan Peng Soon, mengakui dia dan pasangannya, Cheah Yee See, kini dalam persiapan terbaik sebelum ke Birmingham bagi menghadapi Sukan Komanwel 2022.
Peng Soon turut memaklumkan aspek keserasian antara dia dan Yee See bertambah baik terutamanya selepas menghadapi tiga kejohanan berturut-turut.
Bakal tampil dalam temasya komanwel keempat dalam kariernya, Peng Soon memberi bayangan Birmingham kemungkinan besar akan jadi penampilan Komanwel yang terakhir.
"Saya rasa ini Sukan Komanwel terakhir setelah empat kali beraksi dalam kejohanan itu, di mana saya akan cuba untuk dapatkan satu pingat emas sebab sebelum ini bagi acara individu (beregu campuran) keputusan gangsa sahaja.
"Bagi saya Sukan Komanwel amat penting sebab itu saya bangga boleh main sampai empat kali sebab bukan semua orang boleh main sebanyak itu, hendak main satu kali pun susah," katanya.
Untuk rekod, atlet kelahiran Pulau Pinang itu berjaya menghadirkan satu pingat gangsa buat Malaysia di edisi 2018 menerusi gandingannya bersama Goh Liu Ying.
