Kem badminton negara dalam suku akhir Kejohanan Seluruh England hari ini bermula dengan langkah kiri apabila beregu wanita, Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah, tewas kepada gandingan Korea Selatan, Jung Na-eun/Kim Hye-jeong, 21-15,17-21, 9-21.
Beregu di ranking ke-15 dunia itu berkongsi kepada wartawan Astro Arena, Muiz Aziz, bahawa serangan bertubi-tubi lawan dalam set kedua dan ketiga menjadi punca kekalahan mereka.
"Selepas mata ke-11 set kedua, pihak lawan mula dapat menghidu corak permainan kami dan mengacau rentak kami hingga agak membingungkan kami.
"Kami tidak dapat kembali menyerang dan dari situlah kami mula memberikan banyak mata," kata Thinaah.
Menurut Pearly pula: "Saya agak kecewa. Banyak peluang yang kami gagal manfaatkannya.
"Kami perlu ambil pengajaran ini dan kembali lebih baik."
Walaupun mara sehingga aksi suku akhir, Pearly-Thinaah tidak dapat mengelak daripada kecewa kerana percaya mereka sebenarnya berpeluang mara ke lebih jauh.
"Saya tidak begitu berpuas hati sebab kami berasakan mampu beraksi lebih baik," tambah Pearly.
"Kami beraksi lebih baik daripada Terbuka Jerman (minggu lalu) tapi jelas sekali masih banyak ruang yang boleh diperbaiki," kata Thinaah lagi.
