SEA Games: Zii Jia and Co. down Singapore to reach men's badminton final

The Malaysia men's national badminton team are now one win away from clinching their first SEA Games gold medal since 2005 after beating Singapore 3-0 in the semi-finals on Monday.
At the Muntinlupa Sports Complex in Manila, Lee Zii Jia defeated Loh Kean Yew 21-18, 21-12 in the opening game before men's doubles pair Aaron Chia and Soh Woon Yik bounced back to beat Terry Hee and Loh Kean Hean 20-22, 21-13, 21-16.
Soong Joo Ven also had to come back from a game down in the third game, overcoming Teh Jia Heng 14-21, 21-8, 21-16 to seal the win.

The victory booked Malaysia's spot in Wednesday's final to take on Indonesia, who got past Thailand in the other semi-final tie.
Featuring the likes of high-ranking players Jonatan Christie, Anthony Ginting and men's pair Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto, Indonesia are aiming to defend their gold medal, which they have won for five consecutive times.
Indonesia also stand a chance of winning gold in the women's team event, where they face Thailand in the final on Tuesday.
The Malaysian ladies team had to settle for bronze after being knocked out in the semi-finals.
