Apa pun, beregu wanita negara itu hampir menenggelamkan sorakan gemuruh di Istora Senayan, Jakarta, apabila memberi tentangan sengit sebelum terpaksa akur dengan aksi tiga set.
Set awal terlebih dahulu menjadi milik Pearly-Thinaah apabila mengekori rapat dengan aksi rancak yang menyaksikan 60 pukulan terbabit untuk mengikat mata 9-9.
Selepas empat mata akhir, Pearly-Thinaah mengesahkan set pertama dengan 23-21.
Bagaimanapun, mereka bergelut untuk momentum itu apabila kerap terperangkap dengan kegopohan sendiri selain diasak untuk beregu Indonesia -- yang baru dibentuk berkenaan -- menang 21-14, sekali gus melanjutkan permainan ke set penentuan.
Beregu tuan rumah itu makin selesa untuk melebarkan kelebihan 8-3 dalam set ketiga dan dalam masa sama Pearly perlu mendapatkan rawatan berikutan kecederaan jari tangannya.
Walaupun berhasil menyusun semula permainan dengan merapati kedudukan 10-12, wakil tunggal negara di peringkat itu kembali menyambung perjuangan dengan langkah sumbang sebaik bertukar gelanggang apabila ketinggalan 10-17 sebelum lawan mengesahkan kemaraan ke final dengan kejayaan 21-14.
