Several former and current badminton players took to social media to show solidarity with Lee Chong Wei, who has been diagnosed with an early stage of nose cancer.
Positive messages had been pouring in since the news broke over the weekend, from the likes of world no. 1 Viktor Axelsen, German shuttler Marc Zwiebler and Indian player Parupalli Kashyap.
Lee's former rivals such as Taufik Hidayat, Peter Gade and Scott Evans also wished for his speedy recovery.
The 35-year-old, who withdrew from both Asian Games and BWF World Championships due to his health condition, could be returning from his overseas treatment to Malaysia in two weeks' time.

We know you never back down, whatever the fight is! PBL family wishes @LeeChongWei a speedy recovery and hope to see you back on court very soon. pic.twitter.com/WhjNLYLXno
