US Open, FIBA World Cup, North London derby: What to watch this week
If you haven't subscribed to the Astro Sports Pack by now, this week might be the best time to do so, with several exciting events taking place around the world, which are all conveniently available on Astro and Astro GO  (coverage is subject to change).

US Open

Schedule: August 26-September 8
Channels: Fox Sports (CH815 & CH835), Fox Sports 2 (CH816 & CH836)
The final Grand Slam of the year gets underway with Novak Djokovic and Naomi Osaka aiming to defend their respectively singles titles. Another win for the former will see him move one behind Rafael Nadal and three behind Roger Federer in the all-time list of most Grand Slam wins, while the latter hopes to replicate her sensational form at the same venue that clinched her first career Grand Slam victory.

FIBA World Cup

Schedule: August 31 - September 15
Channels: Astro Supersport (CH811 & CH831), Astro Supersport 2 (CH812 & CH832), Astro Supersport 3 (CH813 & CH833), Astro Supersport 4 (CH814 & CH834)
Despite aiming to become the first country to win three straight world titles, Team USA might find it difficult to achieve the goal in China, as they have arguably their weakest World Cup squad in recent years, with Brook Lopez, Khris Middleton and Kemba Walker being their only NBA All-Stars. Meanwhile, the likes of Serbia and Greece, boasting Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo respectively, are ready to dethrone them.

MPFL: Kuala Lumpur vs Selangor

Schedule: Wednesday, August 28 @ 8:30pm
Channel: Astro Arena (CH801 & CH802)
With only a four-point lead over Pahang, who still have two games in hand, Selangor cannot afford another slip-up. Fresh from a dominating 7-2 win over Penang, their title credentials will be tested next against Kuala Lumpur. Earlier in the season, the Klang Valley derby between both sides finished 3-3.

UEFA Champions League Draw

Schedule: Friday, August 30 @ 12:00am
Channel: beIN Sports Max (CH819)
Liverpool's quest to retain their UEFA Champions League trophy begins this week as they find out their group opponents. With the likes of Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan in lower pots, Jurgen Klopp's men might find themselves in a group of death.

UFC Fight Night: Andrade vs Zhang

Schedule: Saturday, August 31 @ 6:00pm
Channel: Fox Sports (CH815 & CH835)
Jessica Andrade is set to make her first defence of the UFC Women's Strawweight Championship against Chinese fighter Weili Zhang, who has won 19 bouts in a row since losing on her MMA debut in 2013, in the main event of UFC Shenzhen.

Serie A: Juventus vs Napoli

Schedule: Sunday, September 1 @ 2:45am
Channel: Fox Sports 2 (CH816 & CH836)
Besides being a match between last season's top two, it was highly anticipated because Maurizio Sarri would be taking on former team Napoli for the first time. However, the Italian manager, who also missed Cristiano Ronaldo and Co.'s 1-0 opening day win over Parma, is recovering from pneumonia and will not be on the bench for the game.

F1: Belgian Grand Prix

Schedule: Sunday, September 1 @ 8:00pm
Channel: Fox Sports (CH815 & CH835)
After a short summer break, the Formula One season resumes at Spa this weekend. With nine races remaining, reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton is leading the standings with a huge 62-point lead.

EPL: Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur

Schedule: Sunday, September 1 @ 11:30pm
Channel: Astro Supersport 3 (CH813 & CH833)
Both North London sides had a weekend to forget after Arsenal were beaten 3-1 by Liverpool and Tottenham went down 1-0 at home to Newcastle United. So, what better way to bounce back immediately than bagging a derby win over your neighbours? And if last season's match was any indication, the upcoming game should be a good one.

Serie A: Roma vs Lazio

Schedule: Monday, September 2 @12:00am
Channel: Fox Sports 2 (CH816 & CH836)
When it comes to Italian football derbies, there is arguably none bigger than the Rome derby. Recent results between the two arch rivals have been almost 50-50, with the Biancocelesti claiming the latest bragging rights with a 3-0 win.

MLS: LAFC vs Minnesota United

Schedule: Monday, September 2 @ 10:30am
Channel: beIN Sports (CH818)
After battling out a 3-3 draw with crosstown rivals LA Galaxy, LAFC can now seal the Western Conference title with a win against Minnesota United, clinching themselves a spot in the MLS Cup semi-finals as well as the CONCACAF Champions League. As for the Loons, a defeat could see them fall out of the position in the play-off race.
