Roger Federer took to Centre Court at Wimbledon with a new look on Monday.

The eight-time champion at the All England Club has claimed each of his titles wearing Nike apparel but walked out for his first-round clash against Serbia's Dusan Lajovic in Uniqlo clothing.

The move ended weeks of speculation that Federer had ended his 24-year association with Nike, one of the most lucrative in sport, reportedly earning the Swiss £7.5million annually.

Uniqlo confirmed Federer had signed for them in a tweet shortly afterwards, in which they wrote: "UNIQLO is honoured to welcome Roger Federer as our new Global Brand Ambassador!"

Uniqlo previously designed clothing for Federer's fellow former world number one Novak Djokovic before he switched to French brand Lacoste in 2017.
