Malaysia saw off a strong challenge from Singapore to defend their gold medal in netball at the 2019 SEA Games on Monday.
Locked at 21-21 at half time, Tracey Robinson's girls went on a 19-8 scoring run in the third quarter to put daylight between themselves and Singapore.
Singapore tried to rally back in the fourth quarter, but Malaysia held on for a 48-42 victory to win the gold medal for the third time after 2001 and 2017.
It was also Malaysia's second straight win against Singapore, having beaten them 54-49 en route to an unbeaten group stage record.
This year's tournament was the fourth time netball was contested at the SEA Games, with Singapore winning the 2015 edition.
