Anthony Seibold suffered a miserable return to ANZ Stadium as South Sydney Rabbitohs thrashed Brisbane Broncos 38-6 to go top of the NRL ladder on Thursday.

It was Wayne Bennett who got one over on his former employers, with his ruthless Rabbitohs side running riot to claim a fourth successive win.

A quickfire Cody Walker double rocked the Broncos on a night in which the Rabbitohs paid tribute to Greg Inglis and Adam Reynolds intercepted a pass from Anthony Milford to surge away for a third try.

Kyle Turner went over late in the first half and Reynolds maintained his 100 per cent conversion rate to give the dominant Bunnies a 24-0 lead at the break.

A Corey Oates try got the Broncos on the board in Darius Boyd's 300th NRL game, but further scores from Sam Burgess and John Sutton added insult to injury.

Bennett's men leapfrogged Melbourne Storm and Sydney Roosters to take their place at the summit, although they both have a game in hand.
