Penrith Panthers head coach Ivan Cleary is ready to make significant changes after his team were humiliated by Wests Tigers in the NRL's Magic Round.

In a stunning start to Friday's opening match at Suncorp Stadium, the Tigers crossed five times in the opening 17 minutes, enabling them to cruise to a 30-4 victory.

The Panthers remain rooted to the foot of the NRL ladder, with just two wins from nine games, and Cleary told a post-match news conference: "We're going to have to look at everything we're doing or have done."

He added: "The first 20 minutes… you can't just walk by that, there's obviously things we need to discuss.

"But if we get to the bottom of it, we can turn it around. That's what we've got to do. We can definitely turn it around but there needs to be some change.

"I feel for the fans. I feel for anyone who supports us when we toss up that."

Anthony Milford starred as Brisbane Broncos recorded a much-needed 26-10 triumph over Manly Sea Eagles in a contest blighted by serious injuries to players on both sides.

Milford scored one try, assisted two others and was a constant threat, but the Broncos lost Jack Bird to a suspected anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Toafofoa Sipley appeared to suffer a serious leg injury for the Sea Eagles, who also saw Moses Suli and Api Koroisau hurt.
