Takaaki Nakagami will continue to race for LCR Honda in the 2021 MotoGP season after signing a new contract.
Honda announced the Japanese rider – who is competing in his third straight campaign in the premier class – has agreed to a multi-year extension.
Nakagami has recorded a top-10 finish in every race so far in 2020, as well as qualifying on the front row for the first time in his career at the Styrian Grand Prix in August.
The 28-year-old is to partner Alex Marquez in the LCR garage next year, while reigning world champion Marc Marquez will be joined by Pol Espargaro for Repsol Honda.

"I'm very happy to be able to continue racing for LCR Honda in 2021 and beyond," Nakagami said in a statement released by Honda.
"I'm grateful to Honda for their generous support, allowing me to bring out my full potential this season. I will be doing my best to gain solid results for the remaining races, and build on that momentum next year.
"I'm aiming higher with Honda. I look forward to your continued support."
Honda did not announce any details over a change in bike specification for Nakagami, who will be back in action next week when the rearranged season continues with the Teruel Grand Prix in Jerez.
