On 20 February, the largest global sports media property in Asian history, ONE Championship, announced that they will next unleash their greatness in a different format – reality TV.

‘The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition’ will give contestants the chance to compete for a rewarding position working under the man himself, ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.

“I am thrilled to announce ‘The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition’ as our biggest foray into the non-scripted series genre,” Sityodtong said in a press release.

‘The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition’ will feature 16 contestants from around the world taking part in a high-stakes game of business competitions and physical challenges. The first season will consist of 13 episodes shot in different cities across Asia.

The winner will receive a US$250,000 job offer to work directly under Sityodtong at ONE Championship’s Global Headquarters in Singapore.

Twelve of Asia’s top CEOs will appear as guest judges in each episode alongside Sityodtong. Contestants will have to solve a variety of real-world problems in different industries.

Contestants will also test their physical abilities and endurance in challenges set up by ONE World Champions.

Sityodtong highlighted how ONE Championship’s global reach could potentially elevate the reality TV series to new heights of programming.

“In combining our respective IP and assets, ONE Championship will redefine the non-scripted genre in Asia across scale and scope,” he said. “‘The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition’ just might be the toughest in the history of all Apprentice shows!”

‘The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition’ will be produced by ONE Championship’s production arm, ONE Studios, and will run on both streaming and linear platforms across the Pan Asian region in the second half of 2020.

The program is slated for distribution on major television networks and digital channels worldwide. Specific market-by-market distribution and launch details will be announced at a later date.
