There was a lot of hype surrounding the ONE Championship debut of Victoria “The Prodigy” Lee, and the 16-year-old lived up to it by dismantling her more experienced opponent.

“The Prodigy,” the younger sister to ONE Atomweight World Champion “Unstoppable” Angela Lee and ONE Lightweight World Champion Christian “The Warrior” Lee, scored a second-round rear-naked choke of Sunisa “Thunderstorm” Srisen at ONE: FISTS OF FURY on Friday, 26 February.

When the atomweight mixed martial arts clash kicked off at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, Lee looked confident as she closed the distance and stuck lefts and rights in her opponent’s face.

Srisen, after absorbing a handful of punches, took Lee down and landed in side control. But Lee remained calm and was able to return to her feet.

Shortly after, Lee scored a takedown of her own, took Srisen’s back, and landed punches while trying to open her rival up for a submission. But “Thunderstorm,” to her credit, survived the first round.

However, she would not survive the next one.

After a flurry of punches from Lee to kick off the second canto, the Singaporean-American teen dragged Srisen back to the canvas and eventually worked her way to a rear-naked choke.

This time, she sunk it in, and Srisen had no choice but to tap at 1:03 of the second round.

Lee not only won her mixed martial arts debut in ONE Championship, but she also showed that she could be a real threat in The Home Of Martial Arts.
