When ONE Championship’s Circle door opens for the first time in 2021, a Kickboxing World Title will be on the line.
The promotion announced the main event for ONE: UNBREAKABLE on 22 January, and the striking headliner has the potential to steal the show.
The night will be capped off by a World Title affair between ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion Alaverdi “Babyface Killer” Ramazanov and #2-ranked bantamweight kickboxing contender Capitan Petchyindee Academy.
Ramazanov, who holds a 61-5 professional record, won the inaugural bantamweight kickboxing belt in December 2019 after a five-round war with Chinese striker “Muay Thai Boy” Zhang Chenglong.
The man who will try to dethrone him, Capitan, last appeared in the Circle at the end of 2020. In that appearance, the Thai star almost decapitated six-time Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Champion Petchtanong Petchfergus with a record-setting, six-second knockout.
With a professional record of 142-40, expect Capitan to be Ramazanov’s toughest challenge yet.
Before the main event goes down at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, two mixed martial arts ground gods will meet in the Circle.
Japanese icon Shinya “Tobikan Judan” Aoki is set to face American wrestling ace James Nakashima in a lightweight mixed martial arts duel.
The last time Aoki saw action in ONE was during November 2019 when he defeated Team Lakay standout Honorio “The Rock” Banario at ONE: CENTURY PART II.
Nakashima last competed in November, dropping a TKO loss to defending ONE Welterweight World Champion Kiamrian Abbasov. This will be the American’s first bout at lightweight, and he’ll be looking to make a statement against the living legend.
