It was a night of heavyweight spectacles at ONE: FISTS OF FURY II.

The action, which went down at the Singapore Indoor Stadium and aired on Friday, 5 March, saw two titans score tremendous wins in the main and co-main events.

In the headliner, “Mighty Warrior” Kang Ji Won made quick work of brash debutant Amir Aliakbari, scoring an upset knockout win at the 1:54 mark of the opening round.

After absorbing two damaging right hands, the South Korean sent a dart of a left hook that connected right on Aliakbari’s reset button. The Iranian tumbled backward, and the fight was quickly waved off.

In the co-main event, newcomer Anatoly “Spartak” Malykhin surprised his opponent and fans around the world when he finished Alexandre “Bebezao” Machado in the first round.

Malykhin quickly took Machado to the canvas, where he moved into a crucifix position and began to rain elbows and punches onto a defenseless foe.

The referee gave the Brazilian ample time to defend, but after Malykhin had Machado pinned under his body for more than a minute and hammered shot after shot, the bout was waved off at the 3:28 mark of round one.

Following their big wins, Kang and Malykhin will surely be aiming for another man – ONE Heavyweight World Champion Brandon “The Truth” Vera.
