ONE Championship will close out 2020 with the previously recorded ONE: COLLISION COURSE II, which took place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium and airs this Friday, 25 December.

The final card of the year features a ONE Super Series Muay Thai featherweight main event between #2-ranked Jamal “Kherow” Yusupov and #4-ranked Samy “AK47” Sana

Yusupov last competed in ONE Super Series when he stepped in on short notice to take on “The Boxing Computer” Yodsanklai IWE Fairtex in November 2019.

The debuting Dagestani native shocked the world by knocking out Yodsanklai in the second round. No one had done such a thing to the Thai legend in more than 10 years.

Yusupov was then supposed to face Petchmorakot Petchyindee Academy for the inaugural ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Title, but an injury sidelined him, and he was replaced by Pongsiri PK.Saenchai Muaythaigym.

Petchmorakot would go on to defeat his compatriot and become the new divisional king. And now, Yusupov is setting his sights on the man he was supposed to fight for the gold.

But standing in his way is Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Champion Sana.

Sana also defeated Yodsanklai last year, scoring a unanimous decision over the Thai in the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix quarterfinals.

After making it past “Genghis Khan” Dzhabar Askerov in the semifinals, Sana lost in the final to Giorgio “The Doctor” Petrosyan.

The Frenchman hasn’t competed since, but he’s now hoping to compete for the World Title in ONE’s Muay Thai division. A win over Yusupov would certainly get him closer to Petchmorakot.

Also on the card is a clash between Singaporean knockout artist Amir Khan and powerful “Crazy Dog” Dae Sung Park.

Khan last appeared in the Circle in October, where he knocked out Rahul “The Kerala Krusher” Raju in the first round.

Dae, meanwhile, can also turn the screw on his opponents. He’s stepping into this bout on the back of a four-match winning streak in ONE and ONE WARRIOR SERIES.
