ONE Championship’s Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong announced on his Facebook page the dates for nine more closed-door, audience-free events.

The schedule for ONE Championship in 2020 is as follows: 14 August, 21 August, 28 August, 11 September, 18 September, 25 September, 9 October, 16 October, and 30 October.

In the post released on 13 July, Sityodtong applauded his team for working diligently to set up shows amid the pandemic that crippled the martial arts world just a few months ago.

“Without the extraordinary grit and creativity of my team at ONE Championship, nothing would have been possible,” Sityodtong said.

“The world is suffering through the worst crisis in 100 years. Most borders are still shut everywhere as COVID-19 continues to ravage the global economy. Thank you to the greatest team in the world for always finding a way! Stay tuned for more details!”

The news comes two weeks after ONE announced its return with ONE: NO SURRENDER on Friday, 31 July, in Bangkok, Thailand.

The flagship event features two ONE World Title bouts and four other explosive match-ups guaranteed to leave martial arts fans thirsting for more.

The night’s main event sees ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon defend his strap against compatriot Petchdam “The Baby Shark” Petchyindee Academy.

In the co-main event, ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Petchmorakot Petchyindee Academy defends his gold against southpaw striking legend “The Boxing Computer” Yodsanklai IWE Fairtex.

Fans will also witness the mixed martial arts return of ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Stamp Fairtex, who battles promotional newcomer Sunisa “Thunderstorm” Srisen.

“ONE Championship is ready to set the world on fire again,” Sityodtong said. “Catch these upcoming closed-door, audience-free shows on our global TV broadcast in 150+ countries around the world!”

It all begins with ONE: NO SURRENDER in Bangkok, Thailand on 31 July.
