ONE: A NEW TOMORROW is stacked with some of the finest martial artists on the planet, and they are ready to kick off 2020 in style.

This Friday, 10 January, these athletes and international heroes will come together for a thrilling night of martial arts action at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

Here are three reasons why Singaporeans cannot afford to miss ONE Championship’s first event of 2020.

ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Title Gold Is On The Line

The stakes could not be any higher in the main event of ONE: A NEW TOMORROW.

Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon will defend his ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Championship against former titleholder Jonathan “The General” Haggerty.

The two athletes met in the co-main event of ONE: DAWN OF HEROES in Manila, Philippines last August.

Haggerty – then-reigning ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion – tried to defend the belt against the surging Thai in an explosive back-and-forth five-round affair.

Using his reach advantage, “The General” controlled the first two rounds before Rodtang dominated in the next couple of stanzas with aggressive and relentless striking to close out the match and earn a unanimous decision to take the gold.

This Friday, “The Iron Man” will want to put on a show and defend his World Title in front of his compatriots, while Haggerty – who felt like he deserved the nod – will get his shot at redemption.

Stamp Fairtex Continues Her Chase For A Third Belt

ONE Atomweight Kickboxing and Muay Thai World Champion Stamp Fairtex will continue her march toward three-sport World Title gold.

She faces Indian wushu champion Puja “The Cyclone” Tomar on Friday and so far, the Thai star has made good on her promise to conquer mixed martial arts.

Stamp closed out 2019 with a pair of impressive mixed martial arts wins over Asha “The Knockout Queen” Roka and Bi “Killer Bee” Nguyen.

Meanwhile, Tomar is coming off a split-decision win against Indonesian contender Priscilla Hertati Lumban Gaol.

Stamp will put her perfect mixed martial arts record on the line in this all-important homecoming battle, while “The Cyclone” has the chance to hand the Thai hero the first mixed martial arts loss of her career.

Heavy-Hitters Return To Action

Several of ONE’s proven knockout artists will showcase their fierce stand-up skills in ONE Super Series and mixed martial arts contests at the Impact Arena.

Fans can look forward to seeing Thanh Le’s incredible striking when the taekwondo black belt returns to face powerful Japanese striker Ryogo “Kaitai” Takahashi in Bangkok.

The LFA Featherweight Champion is riding high with two straight finishes in 2019, and he looks to carry this momentum into the new year.

ONE Super Series favorite Han Zi Hao is also back in action. The Chinese athlete has earned a reputation as a powerful puncher, and his match-up against IKSA and WBC World Champion Mehdi “Diamond Heart” Zatout will be an explosive bantamweight clash.

Rounding out the cast is the highly entertaining Mohammed “Jordan Boy” Bin Mahmoud. The Malaysian sensation has a penchant for putting on spectacular performances, and he will not disappoint when he squares off against UK Muay Thai legend Liam “Hitman” Harrison.

Check out these exciting athletes when they square off this Friday, 10 January, at ONE: A NEW TOMORROW at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
