Kim Sei-young moved a step closer to claiming her first major title after opening up a two-stroke lead following the third round of the Women's PGA Championship.

South Korean golfer Kim – a 10-time LPGA Tour champion but still eyeing a maiden major – extended her lead with a three-under-par 67 in Pennsylvania on Saturday.

The 27-year-old, who is the winningest active player without a major championship, tops the leaderboard at seven under through 54 holes, ahead of 2016 winner Brooke Henderson (65) and 2009 champion Anna Nordqvist (68).

"I wouldn't say I'm nervous, but I'm also excited about going into the final day," Kim said afterwards at Aronimink Golf Club.

Three-time Women's PGA champion and seven-time major winner Inbee Park (66) is three strokes off the pace, while Bianca Pagdanganan (65) is a shot further back heading into the final round.

Defending champion Hannah Green carded a third-round 72 to be tied for 49th at seven over.
