Keegan Bradley earned the halfway lead at the Sanderson Farms Championship with a seven-under-par 65 on Friday.

Bradley surged up the leaderboard as the American golfer moved two strokes clear through 36 holes at the Country Club of Jackson.

Former major champion and four-time PGA Tour winner Bradley used eight birdies and just one bogey to make his move in the second round.

Flawless on the front nine, having started the day with three consecutive birdies and another on the ninth, Bradley dropped the 10th but reeled off another three birdies in succession from the 13th to the 15th before birdieing the last.

J.T. Poston (67) and Charley Hoffman (69) – one of four overnight leaders – are two strokes off the pace heading into the weekend.

MJ Daffue (69) is outright fourth at 10 under, a shot ahead of Denny McCarthy (67) and Kristoffer Ventura (68), while Sergio Garcia is among five players eight under after two rounds.

Defending champion Sebastian Munoz (73) fell into the tie for 12th after ending the day six shots behind Bradley.
