Antonio Conte advised his critics to "lay off the wine" after Inter's winless run stretched to a fourth game with a 1-1 draw against Atalanta.

Aleksey Miranchuk fired in from the edge of the box 11 minutes from time in Sunday's clash in Bergamo to cancel out Lautaro Martinez's header.

Inter have won only one of their past eight matches in all competitions and have conceded 16 times in 10 games overall this term.

However, when asked for his thoughts on those who feel he is less animated on the sidelines this season, Conte replied: "I'd advise them to lay off the wine."

Inter wasted a glorious chance to double their lead when Marco Sportiello denied Arturo Vidal from a one-on-one and then kept out Nicolo Barella's follow-up attempt.

The visitors were without Romelu Lukaku until the 74th minute and managed only three shots on target, with Conte acknowledging his side need to start taking their opportunities.

"Atalanta found it difficult to play against us. We had chances to kill off the game but we are maybe missing that killer instinct to take home the results we deserve," he told Sky Sport Italia.

"The fact people expect so much from Inter means that in the space of a year teams have learned to fear us. In the past we would have come here and not been feared at all."

Atalanta have now conceded in each of their last 10 Serie A games - their longest run in the top flight without a single clean sheet since August 2015.

Head coach Gian Piero Gasperini also saw his side thrashed 5-0 by Liverpool in the Champions League this week but is adamant he and his players are not under pressure.

"I've never had the feeling we are struggling. We've played tough games, we play the Champions League every week and defeats can happen," he said.

"We have won games and we have our identity. I do not see the problems. Other people put pressure on us.

"We know how difficult it can be. We've had a few players out of action. The break has maybe arrived at the right time."

Atalanta have now won only one of their last eight Serie A games against Inter but are a point better off than their opponents in the table.
