Astro and Kuala Lumpur United Football Club (KLUFC) today announced a behind-the-scenes docuseries following the team through the upcoming 2021 Malaysian Super League season.

The series is scheduled to be released later this year on Astro for all Astro customers, providing a never-before-seen perspective of the club as they make their return to the top flight.

"This first-of-its-kind content partnership with a local team is an exciting one for us as we continue to find new ways to engage with Malaysian sports fans.

"We want to highlight Malaysia’s athletes and their dedication through this docuseries, giving fans a raw and exclusive experience with KLUFC," said Lee Choong Khay, Astro's Head of Sports, at KLUFC's 2021 season launch.

Stanley Bernard Stephen Samuel, CEO of KLUFC, added: "I'm very thrilled to be part of KLUFC as a former player and now CEO and hope to grow closer to our fans through this partnership with Astro.

"We are excited to share our unique story and show our emotions and hard work leading up to and at every game."

A friendly match between KLUFC and Selangor FC is also set to take place ahead of the new season.

Sports Pack customers can watch the game live on February 27 at 9pm (subject to change), while non-Sports Pack can also watch it by purchasing a match pass at RM2.99 (excluding 6% tax).
