Luqman "Fenrir" Haziq is eager to do well at the PGL FUT Champions Cup March Singapore to boost his bid to qualify for the 2019 FIFA eWorld Cup.

The Malaysian is one of the 64 gamers (32 each on Xbox One and PS4) competing at the FIFA 19 Global Series event organised by PGL and eGG Network from March 8 to 10.

The tournament offers a prize pool of $100,000 and, perhaps more crucially, a share of 20,000 Global Series Points that can help the gamers to qualify for the FIFA eWorld Cup.

The top 60 players on the final Global Series points leaderboard qualify for the Global Series Playoffs, where they then compete for spots in the finals.

The competition is not going to be easy for Luqman, as it includes 2018 FIFA eWorld Cup champion Mosaad "Rogue MSdossary" Aldossary and three-time FUT Champions Cup winner Donovan "F2Tekkz" Hunt among the challengers, but he is looking forward to a good showing.

"FUT Champions Cup in Singapore is going to be an exciting event. The competition is tough and there’s a lot on the line.

"I’m excited to put on a good show this weekend as there’s a passionate FIFA community here and Singapore is always a great place for esports events," he said.
